Alaska

Native to North America, White Oak timber is strong, tough, heavy, fine-grained and durable, with a light brown colour. Highly versatile, it can be employed in a variety of construction and carpentry roles, and can be treated to obtain diverse finishes. The hand scraped, fumed, white washed and brushed treatment creates a dramatically modern finish, with an even dark base colour ornamented by swirls of cloudy grain.
