Spotted Gum

The Spotted Gum heartwood colour range is quite broad from very pale browns through to very dark browns, with some boards featuring a slightly orange tint in the lighter variations. The sapwood is distinctly pale, while the grain is often interlocked and generally features some ‘fiddleback’ figure. This wavy grain feature is characteristic of the Spotted Gum species and may be quite distinctive.
